Operations & Technology Specialist
Job Summary
Performs a variety of operations, bookkeeping, customer service, and technology support activities. This position supports the daily operational functions of the Bank while serving as a technical resource for reporting, data analysis, software applications, and operational systems. The Operations & Technology Specialist partners with the Operations Officer and Information Technology Officer to improve efficiencies, support technology initiatives, assist with system implementations, and provide backup support for information technology functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operations
• Performs account research, analysis, and verification.
• Verifies new customer and new account information.
• Reviews and verifies daily operational reports.
• Assists in the wire transfer process and related reporting.
• Completes OFAC certifications as required.
• Performs data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
• Scans, indexes, and maintains electronic records.
• Answers incoming telephone calls and provides excellent customer service.
• Assists with annual audits, regulatory examinations, and internal reviews.
• Supports the Operations Department with various operational duties as assigned.
• Performs Remote Deposit Capture verification.
• Handles recon for internal bank accounts.
• Prints and distributes daily operational reports.
• Orders cash through Titan’s Services for commercial customers.
• Responsible for following policies and procedures related to Buckeye Community Bank’s Compliance Program.
Technology & Systems Support
• Serves as backup support to the Information Technology Officer for routine technology functions.
• Assists with software installations, workstation setup, user account administration, and basic troubleshooting.
• Assists with testing and implementation of new software applications, system upgrades, and technology projects.
• Coordinates with software vendors to resolve operational and system-related issues.
• Assists with technology documentation, inventory management, and procedural updates.
• Assists in maintaining security and confidentiality of Bank systems and information.
Data Analytics & Reporting
• Extracts data from the Bank’s core processing system and other software applications to create operational and management reports.
• Develops and maintains recurring reports using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
• Assists management with ad hoc reporting requests and data analysis.
• Identifies opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Performs data validation and reconciliation to ensure report accuracy.
• Supports departmental projects involving process improvement, technology enhancements, and operational analytics.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
• Associate’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Banking experience in operations, accounting, information technology, or a related area preferred.
• Experience working with core banking systems preferred.
Technical Skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Experience extracting and manipulating data from multiple software platforms.
• Ability to quickly learn new software systems and banking applications.
• Experience creating reports using banking software, SQL, report writing tools, or business intelligence software preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, workstation hardware, and basic networking concepts preferred.
• Familiarity with digital banking platforms and financial software preferred.
